Laurie Wright is a rising British rock & roll singer-songwriter based in London, known for his high-energy performances and raw, autobiographical storytelling.

Originally from the South West Midlands, he began his career busking on the streets of Camden and has since developed a reputation as a "natural born performer" endorsed by rock legends like Peter Doherty and Sir Rod Stewart, being compared to his influences; iconic Mod and Britpop acts such as The Kinks, The Jam, and The Small Faces.




ACTING

He is set to portray one of his musical icons, Steve Marriott, in an upcoming film.

TOURING

This year alone he’s completed a sold out european tour spanning Germany,  France, Spain, and Netherlands and will continue to tour the UK and Europe extensively for major festival appearances like Misery Fest, all gearing towards the O2 Forum Kentish Town Headline on 2nd October.

BREAKTHROUGH

He gained significant attention after winning The Libertines' "talented fans" competition in 2020, leading to recording sessions at their legendary studio, The Albion Rooms.

Laurie Wright is open about his past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, which significantly affected his early life and vocal cords. He has been clean and sober since a 2019 rehab stint and frequently uses his platform to speak about recovery, even appearing on BBC and ITV to discuss how music served as his "saving grace" during lockdown.
